Erie Municipal Airport

Erie Municipal Airport is a small general aviation airport east of the town of Erie, Colorado. It is also an airpark, with numerous houses built adjacent to the airport grounds. These houses have overgrown garages to hold airplanes which can taxi to the runway and take off. For some people, the Jetsons’ flying cars do exist.

Erie is north of Denver and south of Longmont. It is also home to an aviation instruments repair facility. The business repairs and refurbishes many kinds of standard cockpit instruments like altimeters, attitude indicators, turn coordinators, VOR radio navigation instruments and many others.

The facility is well-run and with the airpark nearby has a steady business serving the resident pilots. A flight school is also headquartered at the airport in the same building as the FBO.
